Chris Rider

Dr. Chris Rider is a board-certified family medicine physician with extensive training in emergency medicine, sports medicine, and acute care. He currently serves on the front lines of rural healthcare in Wyoming, delivering high-quality, compassionate care at Torrington Community Hospital.
A graduate of the University of Wyoming’s Family Medicine Residency, Dr. Rider brings deep clinical experience and a passion for under served communities. During his residency, he served as Team Physician for University of Wyoming Athletics and provided care to rodeo athletes through the PRCA and PBR circuits—a role he continues to this day.
Before medicine, Dr. Rider worked for nearly a decade as a certified anesthesia technician at top institutions like Seattle Children’s Hospital and the University of Washington Medical Center. This foundation gave him a unique perspective on procedural care and surgical support.
At Smart Sports, Dr. Rider combines his love of athletics with medical expertise to treat sports-related injuries and keep athletes at all levels healthy, active, and performing at their best.
